For building and repairing kilns and thermally operated plants, products made of miscellaneous insulating materials are required for the hot-face and backing insulation as well as sealings of doors and the like.

Corrosion and wear limit the period of use of plants and machines. The use of ceramic components and coatings specially developed to prevent this happening can help to extend the period of operation, thus shortening repair and down times. Intensive research and development have provided us with materials with top wear resistance qualities.

Lining of silos, chutes, bunkers, mills, separators, pipes and bends, cyclones, separators, nozzles, spiral chutes, dust removal and conveyor lines, slag removers and ash sluice ways, chain trough conveyors, chutes, etc.

In addition to the delivery of ceramic components and coatings our delivery scope also comprises completely lined components such as pipes and bends. Linings can also be installed on site.

For full ceramic bearings or hybrid bearings, hot isostatic pressed silicon nitride (HIPSN9 is normally used, at least for the rollers. Only for bearings under less load, gas-pressure sintered silicon nitride (GPSN) can be considered. For the bearing rings, zirconia is mostly used besides silicon nitride.

Owing to the excellent combination of properties important in armatures, e.g. mechanical strength, good tribological properties, hardness, wear and corrosion resistance, in some cases also cavitation resistance, but above all the possibility of optimizing engineering ceramics, especially silicon nitride and zirconia, for particular applications, there is now a great demand for these materials in power plant technology and chemical plants.
